THE COLOURS OF THE SNOW
28 November 2015 @ 00:00
The main theme of the exhibition is a pictorial subject very suggestive, the snow. As the title suggests, this selection of paintings gives the opportunity to overcome a chromatic prejudice and let us literally see how the snow is not “simply white”, but full of colours and shades. The painters are, in large part, the main representatives of the Russian post-impressionist schools of Moscow and St. Petersburg, including Georgy Moroz, Boris Lavrenko, Nikolaj Latyshenko, Dmitry Kosmin, Leonid Vaichlia. For these artists, much more used to live in the cold weather than us, the snow is such a familiar subject that they can also show us a different and joyful point of view.
The exhibition will be open till 17 January 2016.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 9,30-12,30; 15,30-19,30. Open on Sunday morning.
DECEMBER SUNDAYS 10-12,30; 15,30-19,30
