Luisa Albert lives and works in Turin, the city where she was born in 1969. After graduating from the Illustration department of the European Institute of Design in Milan, she began collaborating with some publishing houses. In 1993 she approaches the world of painting thanks to the teachincs of Ottavio Mazzonis, his continuous and precious point of reference. She exhibited for the first time in a group show at the Galleria Dantesca in Turin in 1996. Since then she has participated in more than 50 group and personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad and her works are present in the Forni galleries in Bologna, Pirra in Turin, Friedmann-Hahn in Berlin, Francis Iles in Rochester. Her “houses” have now become objects of collectibles throughout Europe. The artist studies the lights and the warm feeling in every room, choosing the most suitable time of day to portray them, thus making the sensation that those who live there have just left the room. Still lifes and figures complete the pictorial production: hers are the portraits of some presidents of the Regional Council of Piedmont, exhibited at Palazzo Lascaris, Toro Assicurazioni and the CRT Foundation. In 2011 she won the competition for the execution of the altarpiece of the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Cento.
