GEORGIJ MOROZ

The first solo exhibition of 2022 is dedicated to Georgij Moroz (Dneprodzerzinsk, Ukraine 1937 – St. Petersburg 2015), one of the greatest representatives of Russian Post-Impressionism, permanently dealt by the Pirra Gallery.

Moroz’s painting is characterized by an inexhaustible expressive charge able to blend a vibrant colorism, made of sturdy brushstrokes, with a poetic dimension rooted in everyday life.

Moroz loves “simple” subjects. On display, medium and large-sized oils, colorful explosions of flowers, blankets of white snow, peaceful summer landscapes that Moroz “transforms” from everyday life subjects into unique ones.
