On the occasion of the exhibition that the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno of Florence dedicates to Enzo Faraoni (1920-2017) in October, the Pirra Gallery pays a tribute to the great Florentine painter with a rich solo exhibit. On display works, whose privileged subjects are still life and the female figure, representative of the long and intense artistic path of Faraoni, one of the protagonists of the Italian figurative art of the second half of the twentieth century.
\nHis works tell the poetic everyday life of the simplest things, of his models absorbed in their thoughts, through a delicate chromatic range and a careful balance of light and shadow. Sobriety dominates, there is no hierarchy of values, everything is an essential part. The result is an unadorned painting, alien to the superfluous, but at the same time evocative and capable of introducing us to the congenial dimension of the artist, the one that talks to all those things with no apparent history.<\/p>\n
