Nikolaj LATYSHENKO (Artjomovsk, Ucraina, 1937)

Born in Ukraine in 1937, he first studied in Saratov and in 1957 he joined the Repin Institute of St.Petersburg. In 1963 he was admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts under the artistic leadership of Oreshnikov. Since 1966 he has been a member of the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg. In 2002 he was awarded the title “Emeritus Artistic Personality of Russia “. His rich curriculum includes prestigious exhibitions and his works are, in addition to private collections in Europe, United States, China and Korea, in several museums in Russia and abroad.
His works, extremely rich in paint, reveal deep talent and sensibility in the use of colors, which are almost always bright and joyful. Regardless of the subject, whether it is a landscape or a still life, through colors Latyshenko can translate the sophisticated range of human feelings.
