Andrey OVCHAROV (1926 – 1994)

Born in the Moscow region in August 1926, after the war he completed his studies at the Academy of Moscow and in 1953 he joined the Union of Russian Artists.
He belonged to a group of artists united into an unofficial group of Moscow Art School in the 1950s, who managed to find their ideals in the traditions of pre-revolutionary Russian impressionism marked by Stalin era as “perversion of satiated bourgeois class”.
Since 1961 he began to exhibit also abroad, especially Czechoslovakia, France and Japan with solo and group exhibitions.
